Ever Flame Update: Spirit Guides

Reborn in Cuteness
The art team has redesigned the Spirit Guides to fit the style of our new world.

Idle Sleep Game
Spirit Guides collect items while you sleep at night. The less distractions, the better the items they collect.

Our plan is to add the first Spirit Guide, Jugni, into sleep within the next few updates.

Game Development Updates
1) We laid the groundwork to connect to previous Origins accounts.

2) We’re working on patching the bugs that came with laying that groundwork.

3) We’ve moved our team communications from Slack to Discord. You’ll be seeing a lot more interaction with the team!

Spotlight: Palworld, The Indie Dream

Breaking Records on Steam
Most people expected Palworld to be another meme game, but it has the 2nd highest concurrent number of players on Steam ever. Not only did it beat Counter-Strike 2, but it did it as an early-access paid game.

An Unassuming Team
While this team had made two games prior, it was mostly built by a rag tag crew. Most of the developers were unfamiliar with unreal engine and one of the artists was even passed on.

A 14 Year Old’s Dream
When someone describes Palworld to you, it sounds like a fever dream (“A Survival Pokemon game with guns”). But it is successful for that exact reason. Those features have been fleshed out in many other games, and they have found a unique way to marry them together in a unified fashion.

Inspiring
We are approaching a point where smaller and unexperienced teams have the capacity to dethrone AAA games.

It is refreshing. It creates new competition in which gamers will get better and better games.
